Will your 7" ATSC Portable Digital Television work after February 2009?
Yes. Our 7" ATSC Portable Digital Television is built for the digital transition. The ATSC tuner, which is built in, allows you to view digitally broadcast channels. Your television will pick up both analog and digital channels, and when the switch over occurs the channels will come in even more clear than before.
Does your 7" ATSC Portable Digital Television have an external converter box?
No. Our ATSC tuner is built in. There is a small antenna located on the top that conveniently tucks away when not being used.
Can I run your 7" ATSC Portable Digital Television on AA Batteries?
Yes. All of our Portable Digital Televisions come standard with our "Battery Box". The Battery Box takes 10 AA Batteries. Our product allows you to use either standard AA Batteries or Rechargeable AA Batteries. Our Battery Box also serves as a charger dock for Rechargeable AA Batteries. Using our Battery Box allows you to enjoy up to 1200 channels for roughly 2.5 hours.
Where are there instructions for the battery pack? Why is it not listed in my New Image Digital Manual? We have an online list of instructions for the battery pack. On the left hand column of this FAQ page, click on Online Manual to view information. Our AA Battery Pack is an included extra for our customers that comes standard but separate from the TV. All New Image Digital TVs come with our AA Battery Pack.
How do I operate the AA Battery Pack?Our AA Battery Pack is anincluded extra for our customers and is not listed in the manual. To use your AA Battery Pack, place 10Disposable or Rechargeable AA Batteries in the correct format shown inside yourbattery pack. Plug the batterypack into the side of your TV using the provided cord and allotted outlet onthe left hand side of the tv. Ensure that when powering the tv, the switch located on the side of thebattery pack is set to “power”. Tocharge 10 Rechargeable AA Batteries in the pack, attach the DC power adapter tothe side of the battery pack, or the Cigarette lighter adapter. Adjust the switch on the side of thebattery pack to “Charge” and plug into power outlet. You may also watch tv and charge batteries at the same timeby doing this method.

What are quick steps for doing an Auto Scan on my Tv?To do an Auto Scan press the menubutton, then press the right arrow on your remote control and scroll over tothe satellite icon. Once on the satellite icon, press the down arrow tothe first line, ensure the setting is on AIR mode, if it is on CATV press theright arrow until AIR is selected. Once AIR is selected use the downarrow and go down one more to Auto Scan. Press the right arrow twice anda screen should appear that reads, "RF Channels Found" and"Channels Found". RF Channels are the digital wavelengths itwill scan in sequential order. Channels Found are the channels that arebeing scanned into your tv. At theend of this process it will flip to the first available channel. The first channel may read “nosignal”. Digital stations over aireither come in at full strength or not at all, you will not receive sound or afuzzy picture as you would have with a poor analog signal. Why does the back of my New Image Digital Portable Digital TV say NTSC Analog Tuner? All of our New Image Digital TVs have both an analog and a digital tuner. Post Digital Switch, the Analog tuner will remain unused on your set, however, should you need it it is there. The Samsung Digital Tuner is notated on the front of the box and in the instruction Manual. This is a digital tv and does not need a converter box to pick up strong over air digital broadcasts.

What does it mean when my tv says "no signal"?
The new digital channels are very different from analog. With old analog channels, even when you coudn't pick up a strong signal you could still get a snowy picture and usually sound. With Digital, that is not the case. Digital channels either are fully received or your tv will read "no signal". If you can punch in the number, then the tv has picked it up and recognizes it, however, because the signal is not strong enough it will not be able to be picked up. This goes for any portable digital tv.

What is your warranty policy?
We offer a ninety day standard warranty on all products. In the unlikelyhood of a broken unit we will ship you a complete new unit at no cost. Small parts will be easily replaced. After ninety days there is no warranty available. Please ask our sales team if you would like to purchase an extended warranty on your unit.
